NDSID Presents: Missing The Home You Needed to Leave
NDSID is hosting an event where attendees will learn from Gabriela Brenneman, Academic Advisor at the Center for University Advising, who will lead in the discussion sparked by an article published in The New York Times titled, "Cultural Bereavement: Naming the Grief Refugees May Feel." It describes the specific type of grief that both refugees and migrants experience called "cultural bereavement." This will be a great time to not only hear from Gabriela but to also learn about this overlooked experience that many face when they are "uprooted" from their homes.
