About Us
We are the Notre Dame Faculty and Staff of International Descent (NDFSID) employee resource group. Our focus is to provide cultural, social, and intellectual activities for Notre Dame staff, faculty and the University at large, as well as provide opportunities for our members to expand their social networks and improve their Notre Dame experience.
Our Mission, Vision, and Goals
Mission:
To serve as a resource for Notre Dame's staff and faculty of international descent by providing cultural, social, and intellectual activities that create a more welcoming experience. Our mission aligns with the university's commitment to broadening its community and its goal of building bridges between communities.
Vision:
To provide opportunities for our members to expand their social networks and help improve their overall Notre Dame experience through cultural, social, and intellectual activities for Notre Dame's staff, faculty, and the University at large.
Goals:
Cultural: Create opportunities for members to share their customs, traditions, food, dress, music, and other cultural artifacts with one another and with the University at large
Social: Promote and support initiatives that foster cultural understanding and inclusion through social activities that celebrate all staff and faculty at the University
Professional Development: Support the University’s recruitment, development, and educational opportunities for Notre Dame's staff and faculty

Steering Committee
Description: The Steering Committee consists of NDFSID's Leadership Team as well as select individuals who help shape the vision and goals of NDFSID. Steering Committee members attend NDFSID Leadership Team meetings on a monthly basis to contribute to, and help inform strategic NDFSID decisions and direction. Steering Committee members are also expected to attend regularly scheduled NDFSID events and act as brand ambassadors for NDFSID across campus, including but not limited to official University functions.

Events & Professional Development Committee
Description: The Events & Professional Development Committee schedules, plans, and manages social and cultural events for NDFSID members. The committee also identifies, coordinates, and communicates ongoing initiatives relating to professional development opportunities for NDFSID members. Communications & Outreach Committee
Description: The Communications and Outreach Committee identifies and creates networking and community service opportunities for NDFSID members, as well as provides outreach activities to various constituent groups across campus to ensure NDFSID participation and representation.
