About Us
We are the Notre Dame Staff of International Descent (NDSID) employee resource group. Our focus is to provide cultural, social, and intellectual activities for Notre Dame international staff and the University at large, as well as provide opportunities for our members to expand their social networks and improve their Notre Dame experience.
Our Mission, Vision, and Goals
Mission:
To serve as a resource in providing cultural, social, and intellectual activities that help create a more comfortable and inviting experience for Notre Dame staff and faculty of international descent. The mission supports and fosters the University of Notre Dame's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Vision:
To provide opportunities for our members to expand their social networks and help improve their overall Notre Dame experience through cultural, social, and intellectual activities for ND international staff, faculty, and the University at large.
Goals:
Cultural: Create opportunities for members to share their customs, traditions, food, dress, music, and other cultural artifacts with one another and with the University at large
Social: Promote and support key diversity and inclusion initiatives and social activities that recognize and leverage members of international staff and faculty
Professional Development: Support the University’s recruitment, development, and educational opportunities for international staff and faculty

Committees
Steering Committee
Description: The Steering Committee consists of NDSID's Leadership Team (i.e., E-board and Cmte Chairs) as well as select individuals who help shape the vision and goals of NDSID. Steering Committee members attend NDSID Leadership Team meetings on a quarterly basis (4x/year) to contribute to, and help inform strategic NDSID decisions and direction. Steering Committee members are also expected to attend regularly scheduled NDSID events and act as brand ambassadors for NDSID across campus, including but not limited to official University functions.

Events & Professional Development Committee
Description: The Events & Professional Development Committee schedules, plans, and manages social and cultural events for NDSID members. The committee also identifies, coordinates, and communicates ongoing initiatives relating to professional development opportunities for NDSID members. Communications & Outreach Committee
Description: The Communications and Outreach Committee identifies and creates networking and community service opportunities for NDSID members, as well as provides outreach activities to various constituent groups across campus to ensure NDISD participation and representation.
